Trevor Crowell

Speaker: Epidemiology, Diagnostics and Clinical Management of Emerging and Re-emerging High Consequence Infectious Diseases (HCID) in Africa
Trevor A. Crowell, MD, PhD, is Director of the Clinical Research Directorate supporting the U.S. Military HIV Research Program and Emerging Infectious Diseases Branch at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. He also an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Uniformed Services University and has an adjunct appointment at Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves as a Deputy Editor for the Journal of the International AIDS Society, on the editorial boards for AIDS and AIDS Research and Therapy, and as a member of the Strategic Advisory Committee for the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed original research publications describing interventional and observational studies of HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and other infectious disease threats to global public health. Dr. Crowell is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
