Dr. Stellah Bosire, a multi-award winning corporate and philanthropic executive is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery, a holder of a Master’s in Business Studies from Strathmore University, and an MSc. Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine, University of London, and who is currently a senior law student at the University of Nairobi.
Stellah is the inaugural Executive Director of the Africa Center for Gender and Health Systems, a start-up that looks at strebghening health systems to be gender responsive. Stellah has over 10 years of extensive experience in international and domestic experience with and foreign government agencies, private donors; organizations monitoring and appraising public health programs, conducting epidemiological and operations research; measuring the impact of novel techniques. As a gender specialist, she performs gender analysis, analyzing from grassroots levels (the micro-level), intermediate levels (Meso level), the highest political levels (macro-level), and across all sectors and programs of development collaborations. She also has the expertise to undertake gender audits, manage gender strategies, and undertake gender-sensitive evaluations.
Stellah has worked previously as the Co-Executive Director of UHAI EASHRI, Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Medical Association, Vice-Chair HIV/AIDS Tribunal of Kenya, and is currently a Board Member of Amnesty International and Civicius Alliance.
