Speaker: Non-Communicable Diseases – A Growing Public Health Threat in Africa
Born on 24 October 1979 in Porto-Novo (Benin), Supertendant of Police and Orthopaedic Traumatologist Surgeon, Dr Oswald Goukodadja has about ten years of surgical practice in Benin. As Head of the Surgical Unit of the Republican Police Hospital since 2016, Dr Oswald Goukodadja has gained experience in the management of public road accidents in collaboration with the Fire Brigade and the National Road Safety Council. Dr Oswald Goukodadja also practice since 2019 at the Centre National Hospitalier et Universitaire Hubert Koutoukou Maga of Cotonou and at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Cotonou of the University of Abomey-Calavi where Dr Oswald Goukodadja is currently Master Assistant of CAMES in Traumatology-Orthopaedics. Dr Oswald Goukodadja is also enrolled in a Master 2 in Health Promotion and areas of interest are : – in Surgery: traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, surgical site infections, orthopaedics; – in Public Health/Health Promotion : road accidents as public health problem, the influence of social inequalities in health on road accidents, aspects relating to health policies and their socio-economic impacts.
