Loko Abraham

Speaker: Digital health information system for PHC performance measurement
Loko Abraham is chief of party of the USAID Digital Health Activity in Ethiopia. He joined JSI from the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency (EPSA), where he has served as Director General. The EPSA is a national health commodities supply chain operator managing 80% of all procurements and distribution in Ethiopia. Prior to EPSA, he has served as vice president and Chief executive Director of a teaching university Hospital. Before his promotion to the above position, his professional experience goes from University lecturer to health sciences associate professor, from department head to head of faculty In. In his 16 years public health service, he has managed multiple institution with annual budget between 20 million to 650 million USD and large diverse teams of over 2000 individuals while consistently delivering sustainable results and measurable impact in large and complex organizations. Loko has received his MD from University of Gonder and has specialized in child health and pediatrics from Addis Ababa University. He has also graduate level education in public health leadership and higher institution management.
