Dr Vedaste Ndahindwa is a Public Health Officer at the World Health Organization – Rwanda Country Office. He is a member and the Vice Chair of the Rwanda National Ethics Committee. Dr Vedaste holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Rwanda and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and he is a PhD candidate from the School of Public Health at Umeå University in Sweden. His areas of interest include Emergency Preparedness and Response, Biostatistical methods and modeling, Epidemiology and Impact Evaluations. He has been a Lecturer at the University of Rwanda School of Public Health for 15 years and the Director of Medical Research Unit in the Medical Research Center Division (RBC) or one year and a half. He has been trained in Impact Evaluations from the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) and the University of California – Berkeley (USA). He has worked on several research projects and he has an extensive experience in study design and advanced skills data analysis.
