Dr. Mupenzi Vanessa is currently acting as an advisor in charge of Operations in the office of the Director General at Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), the implementing body of the Rwanda Ministry of Health; where she ensures that all strategic operations, coordination, and strategic liaison between RBC, Ministry of Health, other Ministries and external potential stakeholders and partners is effectively maintained. With the collaboration of program managers within RBC, Dr. Vanessa coordinates all efforts and approaches elaborated to ensure the high level of performance of RBC towards its mission to deliver the best quality health care services. Prior to this position, Dr. Vanessa worked as a frontliner part of the Rwandan Joint Task Force against Covid 19. Before that, She served as a medical doctor at Kigali Teaching Hospital, which she joined after her medical school at Jiangsu University in China. She is an active member of various technical teams to contain Covid-19 in the country from testing to vaccination campaigns. Her main area of interest includes designing working strategies for frontline disease detectors and data use for timely interventions
