Howard is an Epidemiologist with over 12 years of experience in public health research, environmental health, and epidemic preparedness and response. Howard began his career as a Public Health Officer in Zimbabwe and worked through the public health system at the district, provincial and national levels. Howard also has experience working in the NGO sector, particularly in the field of HIV/AIDS research, having served as a Data and Research Analyst with the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Zimbabwe. As part of his work, focusing on workforce development, Howard has worked with the Field Epidemiology Training Programme in Zimbabwe to coordinate and supervise the activities of FETP residents. Howard is currently an Epidemiologist with the Emergency Preparedness and Response Division at the Africa CDC Headquarters in Ethiopia. Howard holds a BSc in Environmental Health and MPH(FETP) from the University of Zimbabwe
